a Metro Transit bus driving down a road

April 21, 2026

Omaha’s Do Good Days kicks off on Wednesday, April 22nd. There are plenty of opportunities for community members to share their time and talent with service organizations all over the Omaha area.

Dozens of those locations can be reached through Metro Transit’s bus routes, paratransit service, and/or microtransit zones.

The below map has locations of each of the volunteer opportunities within Metro Transit’s service area. Clip or tap on the icon to see which bus routes are closest to that location. Each entry also has stop IDs for the nearest bus stop. Those IDs can be used at MyRide.Ometro.com or on the MyRide OMA app to plan a trip, see when the next bus is coming, and to track a bus. The bus stop IDs can also be used to find arrival times through text messages. Instructions on that can be found here. A microtransit ride can be booked through the Micro Flex // Omaha app, more information can be found here.

MOBY, Metro Transit’s paratransit service, will serve the volunteer opportunities that are within 3/4 of a mile of a fixed route – the hours for that area will reflect the service hours of the adjacent route. To learn more about the paratransit service, booking a trip on MOBY, as well as how to apply, click here.

(Note: riders must apply and be approved for MOBY service)
