Metro will provide fare-free transit on Tuesday, May 13th during the Omaha City Election with the Bus to Ballot program.

Anyone can board a Metro bus or ORBT fare-free all day on Election Day. MOBY will also be fare-free for certified MOBY clients.

“Election Day should be about making your voice heard, not worrying about how you’ll get there,” said Lauren Cencic, Metro’s CEO “With Bus to Ballot, we’re proud to power our community’s vote and help keep democracy moving.”

Precincts will be open from 8 a.m. through 8 p.m.

“Transit is about access—to jobs, to opportunity, and to civic life,” said Curt Simon, Chair of Metro’s Board of Directors “Offering fare-free service on Election Day through Bus to Ballot is one way we help our community participate in the democratic process.”

Riders can plan their trip and track their bus using MyRide OMA, which is available online and as a smartphone app.
