On Monday, May 20, Metro will put some service changes in place to increase service reliability.

  • Route 13: Weekday frequency will be 30 minutes between North Downtown and MCC South during the day. Weekends will not be affected.
  • Route 15: Weekday frequency will be 30 minutes between Downtown and Aksarben during the day. Weekends will not be affected.

The changes to Routes 13 + 15 were presented in four public meetings, with a public comment period from March 20th to April 10th. A summary of these comments and Metro’s responses can be found on page 19 of the April Metro Board packet.

The changes to the frequency on Routes 13 + 15 are being implemented to increase reliability for riders. When analyzing ways to improve reliability, Metro staff only considered changes for routes with wait times shorter than 30 minutes. From these routes, Routes 13 + 15 had the lowest levels of ridership.

Metro staff continues to work toward increasing reliability and services for riders.

The new Route 13 schedule can be found here and at Metro’s offices at 2222 Cuming Street.

The new Route 15 schedule can be found here and at Metro’s offices.
