This March, Metro Transit will celebrate connecting the Omaha community with Nebraska Public Transit Week, thanking the riders who use our services and the hardworking staff who keep things moving.

Nebraska Public Transit Week, March 15th-21st,  is a statewide recognition and celebration of the important benefits public transit brings to people all over the state. It provides a special opportunity for people to show their support for services that help thousands of Nebraskans access their communities, whether that’s medical appointments, grocery shopping, connecting with loved ones, or simply heading to a local park.

Metro Transit, and public transit overall, connects people to the parts of their communities that help people live an active, vibrant, interesting life.

To highlight this, Metro is partnering with local entities that embody the importance of connecting with one another through multiple areas of life and society.
