This week, Metro took the next step in testing its real-time bus tracking system, MyRide OMA, by providing early access to an AndroidTM mobile app, a text message system, and account management features.

Riders can download the Android app, send a text message to receive bus arrival times, and create an account to receive news updates or arrival times.

Similar to the MyRide OMA website, Metro is asking riders to provide feedback on their experience. Metro would like to thank all MyRide OMA beta testers to this point.

“Feedback is essential to the success of this system,” said Curt Simon, Metro’s executive director. “We appreciate everyone that has used MyRide so far, and are looking forward to introducing more features in the future.”

An Apple mobile app is in development and will be released for early access later this fall. To learn more, check out the MyRide OMA Rider Guide.
